Our Story

Hi! I'm Marisa. I'm the owner of Pineland Arts center! I'm a Medford Mom, certified music teacher, and art lover!

The Pineland Arts Center was born from a lifelong passion for creativity, community, and teaching. Before becoming a small business owner, I spent eight years as the music teacher at Rice Elementary School in Marlton, sharing my love of the arts with hundreds of students and families. Those years taught me the power of creativity.

In 2020, I felt the pull toward something bigger: a space where families could come together to explore their creativity and connect through the arts. That dream first came to life when I purchased The ARTery Studio on Main Street in Medford. What began as a small, cozy studio quickly grew into something more. As our community grew, we needed a space that could grow with us.

That’s when the historic Fairview Road firehouse entered the picture. From the moment I walked through its doors, I could see the enormous potential! Space for a full clay studio, a movement space, 2 classrooms, an event hall, a lobby and more!! What a dream, but it was going to take a lot of love (and a ton of work) to get there.

With the help of my incredible parents, we dove in headfirst. It became a true family project. We started with sketches and architectural plans, ripping up carpets and everything in between...My dad spearheaded the construction projects, pouring his heart into the space. It's been a labor or love, and we're almost there!! So many of my friends and incredible staff have been dedicated to this renovation, and I appreciate every single moment!

Today, my vision for The Pineland Arts Center (formerly The ARTery) is finally taking shape!
