Overview

NEW! We have expanded our Summer Camp Program! This unique camp now combines art, clay, movement, and music all in one creative program...plus a longer day!

We are thrilled to offer Creative Arts Camp this summer at Pineland Arts Center in partnership with Say It With Clay and our Movement Studio! Designed for children ages 6–10, camp runs Monday–Thursday from 9:00am–2:00pm with 10 themed weeks available all summer long. (No camp on Fridays.) Each week features new creative projects and plenty of opportunities for kids to explore, experiment, and express themselves.

Campers will experience multiple creative disciplines every day! In addition to traditional art projects, campers will create a clay project each day using real ceramic materials and tools. Campers also enjoy fun movement activities in our fitness studio and a music singalong to wrap up the day on a joyful note!

A Typical Day

Each day begins at 9:00 AM with a warm welcome before campers jump into their first art project of the day, guided by our instructors. After a short snack break, the group heads to the fitness studio for a fun movement activity to stretch, play, and recharge. Next, campers gather to eat lunch together before diving into the afternoon project: hands-on clay handbuilding in partnership with Say It With Clay. Toward the end of the day, everyone comes together for a lighthearted music singalong before packing up and heading home. Pick-up is at 2:00 PM.

Parent FAQ

What age group is the camp for, is there flexibility?
Our camp is designed for children ages 6–10. Campers must be at least 6 years old at the start of camp. Due to the popularity of the program and fairness to all families, we cannot make exceptions to our age ranges at this time.

Will children be divided into groups?
Yes. Campers will be divided into two groups and rotate through our classroom stations throughout the day. Groups are typically organized by age. If siblings or friends would like to stay together, we will do our best to accommodate those requests.

Can my child attend just one day or specific days?
Yes. While many families choose the full week, we do offer single-day registrations for $99 per day.

Who are the teachers?
Our instructors are experienced, passionate educators who love working with children. Many are New Jersey state-certified art teachers with years of classroom experience.

What kind of projects will kids create?
Campers create at least one art project and one clay project each day. Projects are designed to be finished during the same day so single-day campers can fully participate.

ART
Students explore a variety of artistic materials such as watercolor, pastels, colored pencil, acrylic paint, collage, paint sticks, graphite, and mixed media depending on the day's theme.

CLAY
In partnership with Say It With Clay, campers sculpt, decorate, and underglaze a clay project each day using professional materials and tools. Projects may include pinch pots, coil pots, bowls, wall hangings, clay creatures, and more. Pieces will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup approximately 3 weeks after camp.

What are the class sizes?
Class size is important to us. Each group has up to 15 campers per art teacher, and groups with 10 or more students also have a teacher assistant to provide additional support.

What should my child bring to camp?
Campers should bring a lunch, a small snack, and a labeled water bottle each day. Please dress your child in comfortable clothing that can get a little messy during art activities.

What if my child has never taken an art class before?
No experience is necessary! Our camp is designed for children of all skill levels. Our teachers guide students step-by-step so beginners feel confident while more experienced young artists can continue developing their skills.

My child has an IEP or special needs. Can you help?
We have experience working with children with many different learning styles. While we are not able to provide 1:1 aides, we encourage families to reach out before registering so we can discuss possible accommodations and help determine if camp is a good fit.

What if my child is nervous about camp or doesn’t know anyone?
It’s very common for campers to feel a little nervous on the first day. Our teachers are experienced in helping children feel comfortable, welcomed, and included. Most campers quickly make new friends as they begin working on creative projects together. If your child is feeling especially anxious, feel free to let us know at drop-off so we can give them a little extra support.

When will clay projects be ready for pickup?
Clay pieces need time to dry, be kiln-fired, and glazed. Projects are typically ready for pickup about 3 weeks after camp. Families attending a full week may pick up all clay projects at the same time once firing is complete. We will provide pick-up instructions.

What happens if a camp week fills up?
If a week becomes full, you can join the waitlist through our registration system. We will contact families if a space becomes available.

How do I register?
Click the button below to visit our registration page. Camp weeks fill quickly, so early registration is recommended.

How do I change my registration?
If your plans change, we can usually transfer your enrollment to another camp day with at least 24 hours notice. If you need to cancel completely, please contact us and we’ll do our best to help.

My child has an allergy or medical need. What should we do?
Safety is our priority. Please inform us of any food allergies, medications, or medical needs before camp begins. Our staff is trained in first aid and Epi-Pen protocols. Campers bring lunch from home, and we have a peanut-free table available.
